My name is Steve Brennan, I developed the Restix Tab. My background is over 3 decades in the Printing Industry. The Restix tab is a Patent Pending, first-of-its-kind product. It is a REUSABLE vinyl 1 ½” x 1 ¼” tab using Avery's removable adhesive. The Restix Tab can be applied by hand or by any like-Label Aire machine. The tab can go on the front or back side of an item, like a Christmas photo card, Save the Date, and note cards. The Restix Tab is perfect for Direct Mail pieces, with anything of value, like a coupon, or important health info. etc. The item can be immediately stuck up, away from all the clutter, and available for everyone to see and use. Also, the Restix Tab can be turned into all sorts of different shapes.

 

A large company in St Paul MN, spent over a year, working on a concept requested by Simon McCalley at Shutterfly, to develop an item using their adhesive, that could be applied by a machine. Simon said, we know at Shutterfly, we have a problem with all things flat. After over a year, nothing of value was developed. I got an appointment with Simon and showed him what I had developed at that time. Simon said it would work, but Shutterfly needed our item to be machine-applied. So I went back to the drawing board and 3 years later the Restix Tab was developed.

 

That company wouldn't spend over a year of their people's time and resources unless they knew, this concept would be a huge new market for them. They also know, that if it worked for Shutterfly, it would work for Walgreens photo, Target photo, Vistaprint, Minted, Esty, Zazzle, and hundreds of others like companies, retail and online, think Amazon. It’s value-added for all those companies. Plus it solves the age-old problem, how do you stick up a flat item immediately and cleanly? Also, you are sent a Save the Date 3 to 6 months before a wedding, how does anyone save it for that long of a period? The Restix Tab solves that problem.

 

The Restix Tab also fits perfectly with Avery's packaged cards, your We Print Cards, and Avery’s photo paper. Plus, Avery will sell millions of square inches of their removable vinyl rolls and removable sheet stock to Flexo, Web, and Sheetfed Printers, which will be licensed to use the Restix Tab. The Restix Tab not only works for the Photo Card Industry, and the Direct Mail Industry, but also, for the Publishing Industry and the Greeting Card Industry remember the Restix Tab is REUSABLE. What is it worth, to those companies to have their logo, phone number, .com, etc, printed on the tab, possibly stuck up for months or longer? So when you are done displaying those Christmas cards or Direct Mail pieces you can reuse the Restix Tab. To display your kids' artwork, spelling test, recipes, etc. and that original company logo, .com, phone number, etc. will again, be up for everyone to see.

 

F.Y.I. 38% of refrigerators do not take a magnet, that’s a lot of refrigerators that won’t take Avery’s magnetic photo paper. But those and every other refrigerator will take your photo paper with a Restix Tab, which has Avery’s Removable Adhesive and it would be cheaper. You could license the Restix Tab to every other photo paper company. They would insert them into their packaging and when their customers run out, they would just go online and order more. Also, how environmentally friendly it is, to throw millions of magnetic photos, magnetic Save the Dates, magnetic photo Christmas cards, etc. in landfills, the Restix Tab again solves that problem. The biggest reason photo magnets are sold is because there is no other choice to display those photos, immediately and cleanly, until now. Magnets just add unnecessary cost to the overall price of those photos, in manufacturing and shipping.
